We are looking for a highly-skilled and motivated software engineer to join our quantitative finance team. You will be working closely together with our professionals that are well-versed in quantitative finance, you will complement them with your skills in software engineering. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of software development processes and a passion for writing clean code. Having a solid background or interest in quantitative finance and mathematics is advantageous and highly appreciated. If finding issues and fixing them with beautiful, meticulous design and code are among the talents that make you tick, we would like to hear from you.

Products that you will collaborate on include but are not limited to Portfolio Construction via Artificial Intelligence, Portfolio Risk, Portfolio Backtesting, and Structured Products.

Objectives of this Role

• Grow and improve upon our existing quantitative financial services to better serve our clients with their needs to make well-informed and profitable investment decisions.
• Have a major role in designing and developing an exciting new project that is currently in our pipeline that will transform quantitative finance within Privé Technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, develop, migrate, maintain, and test scalable and robust cloud-based software systems.
• Modify and enhance existing distributed systems to incorporate new functionality and to improve existing features.
• Provide technical analysis and support.
• Perform regular code reviews to maintain our standard of high-quality software and to guarantee that all business requirements are consistently satisfied.
• Have our clients’ best interests at heart.
• Work collaboratively across disciplines.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.
• Proficiency in at least one high-level object-oriented programming language.
• Strong sense and passion for designing and writing clean code.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (English).

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience with Java and Spring.
• Background and interest in finance.
• Proficiency in Mathematics.
