BetterCast is a hybrid event and Livestream platform built to deliver flexible and high-quality broadcast events for our customers. Working with event producers the BetterCast platform can adapt to almost any style of event a client would want, and we are committed to working with our partners from start to finish for every event.

Role:

This role is to assist the development team in the ongoing rollout of features and functions of the BetterCast platform through development. Reporting to the PM, you will develop features through test-driven development to support the backend and APIs of our platform.

This role is fully remote, working across the Asiapac region and time zones, however ideal timezone is GMT+7 (for standups and meetings)

Responsibilities for Backend Developer

• Create tests to drive the development of features for the platform’s API
• Create documentation or diagrams around the functionality that you develop
• Report to the Project Manager on an ongoing basis to ensure the timely delivery of features
• Analyze the system as you work on it to make sure your changes deliver a positive change
• Help troubleshoot issues when the need arises
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications for Backend Developer

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• 2-5 years of Software Development or related experience
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Attention to detail
