What you'll do as a Backend Software Engineer

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be you play a key part in delivering web experiences that will enhance and transform the overall customer experience. You are passionate about rethinking traditional ways of doing things while considering the practical benefits and looks beyond the obvious to come up with better and new ways of working. You are a problem solver who thinks outside-of-the-box to challenge existing assumptions to achieve the best results.

Some of the key activities you will be performing in this role are:

• Develop, build, review and test backend web for our Board Portal
• Deliver high-quality solutions on a regular basis that adhere to our design standards
• Work with other developers and business stakeholders to improve our product
• Writing high-quality code that follows industry and our architectural standards
• Provide support including analysis, development, testing and code review
• Continuously grow and share your knowledge of emerging technologies and practices
• Troubleshoot application issues

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Are a Software Developer with at least 2 years of professional experience building and maintaining enterprise software solutions
• Can demonstrate experience working with.NET and C# (this is a must)
• Have basic knowledge of OOP, and relational and key-value database principles
• Have familiarity with Lean product development and Agile methodologies
• Are passionate about customer experience. You love working in a cross-functional team and being responsible for great outcomes
• Have knowledge of DevOps principles such as Infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD
• Are familiar with backend development using RESTful APIs
• Build relationships with others by understanding their needs and shares information to contribute to outcomes and goals
