ur research team develops innovative, intelligent and scalable computing solutions for biomedical sciences and public health. We are looking for skilful, collaborative, highly motivated AI-Cloud Software Programmers/Specialists to join our vibrant multidisciplinary team of research scientists (biologist, computer scientist) and software engineers to create the web-based platforms for assimilation, exploration, visualisation and analysis of large-scale biomedical data using cutting-edge AI and cloud computing technologies. Technology talents who are passionate to contribute to the global health and disease prevention are particularly encouraged to apply.

Applicants with higher relevant qualification or substantial experience will be offered a more senior specialist position.

Requirement

• Bachelor degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related discipline.
• Experience/Knowledge in technical fields, Bioinformatics or Computational Biology, is a plus.
• 1+ year experience as a software engineer/architect designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud services or web-based software products, and/or designing and building data warehouse solutions.
• Masters or PhD holder, or those with substantial relevant experience (e.g. 5+ years) may be considered for a more senior position.
• Hands-on experience working with big data processing frameworks and stacks (SQL Engines, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.), and/or UI/UX design and development (React, etc.), and/or web framework (Django, etc.).
• Stellar design skills along with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Javascript, SQL, C#, Java and C++.
• Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, private cloud, etc.) and container (Singularity, etc.) technologies.
• Big data and AI analytic skill is a plus.
• Highly efficient, self-motivated, organized and be able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
• The senior position is expected to be able to train and supervise junior teammates.
