We are looking for Senior Software Development Engineer at Bangalore with Qualcomm.

Qualcomm's Corporate Engineerings iTAG(Internal Tools and Automation Group) team in Bangalore is looking for a software engineer with proven track record in software application development. The successful candidate will be part of a team of developers with expertise in enterprise application development and automation. This individual will be part of a team of developers, who will work on fast-paced projects from ideation, to prototype, to productionization. This individual needs to have hands-on experience in the entire software development lifecycle from design, development, and debugging aspects of software applications. The ideal candidate shall be interested in joining a dynamic team who would be working in collaboration with various verticals on internal tools and application development. Strong familiarity and understanding of Linux operating system would be useful. The successful candidate will work with minimal supervision, performing task definition, and work breakdown including duration estimates. The successful candidate will design, document, implement and test software application in a real-time environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in software design and test, be proactive, and have a hands-on approach to work assignments. Candidates must have great interest in new technologies and willingness to learn.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. The candidate must be able to work well with others in a technical environment. Frequent interfacing with team members in the US will be required. The ability to work independently, with strong problem-solving skills, is expected.

Minimum Qualifications

4+ years of experience on software application development

Must have excellent C, C++/Java and Python skills

Strong Unix Shell scripting skills and experience with SQL working on RDBMS/DB systems

Experience working on the backend server-side development including synchronous, asynchronous and batch architecture

Software debugging skills for large applications integrating with multiple upstream and downstream systems

Experience with version control software such as Git, SVN etc.

Experience with CI/CD and software release process

Preferred Qualifications

Must have good working knowledge of multi-tier software architecture

Effectively multitasks and meets aggressive schedules in a dynamic environment.

Setting up working detailed schedules and planned execution of deliverables for all projects and tasks

Strong problem solving/ debugging skills.

Effectively communicates with project peers and engineering personnel via e-mail, web meetings, and instant messaging including status reports and illustrative presentation slides.

Communicate milestones and directions to outside team members.

Takes responsibility for the success of entire project

Makes critical project decisions.

Effectively communicates with management at various levels.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Self-motivated and requires minimal supervision.

Education requirements

B.E. or B.Tech. in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Software Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors - Computer Science, Bachelors - Engineering, Bachelors - Information Systems

Work Experiences:

2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

4+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.

Work Experiences:

1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership ,3+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,3+ years experience with API. ,3+ years experience with Database Management Software. ,6+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.
