Doctorate in Computer Science
Most technology professionals are excellent at what they do. Very few understand it at the level required to research it, lead it, and move the entire field forward. The Doctorate in Computer Science at EIMT is a 36-month, fully online program for technology professionals who are ready to operate at that level. Based in Zug, Switzerland, and accredited by USDLA, EURASHE, ACBSP, QAHE, AQS, and ATHEA, this is a doctoral qualification that carries real standing with research institutions, technology organizations, and employers worldwide.
There are no campus visits, no GMAT, no GRE, and no residency requirements. The program fits around the career you have already built — taking your technical expertise and developing something few professionals ever add to it: the ability to produce original research, lead at the highest organizational level, and make decisions backed by evidence rather than experience alone.
Over 36 months, you move through three structured phases — foundational coursework in research methodology and core computer science, an intensive research lab, and a full doctoral thesis tied to a real technology problem in a real organization. Your research will reach into algorithms, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, database systems, distributed systems, and bioinformatics — with dedicated faculty supervision at every stage. By the time you defend your thesis, you are not simply a senior technology professional with an advanced degree. You are a computer science scholar-practitioner — someone who thinks, leads, and researches at a level the industry genuinely needs more of.

This program is for people who have spent years building technical expertise and know there is another level to reach. Whether you are a senior engineer, data scientist, cybersecurity professional, or technology leader — the DCS takes your experience seriously and builds on it with rigor.
