Job Description :

Yantra India Limited is one of the Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSUs) that came into existence following the dissolution and restructuring of the old Ordnance Factory Board (OFB). It is one of the new 7 state-owned companies, which is headquartered in Nagpur. The company is tasked with the responsibility of manufacturing numerous defence hardware ranging from munitions to vehicles and heavy weapons. The company is focused on exploring new opportunities in the market and sustaining competitiveness. With eight defence manufacturing units, Yantra India Ltd., caters to the defence needs, from artilleries to munition and explosives.

Engagement of Trade Apprentices in Indian Ordnance Factories

Yantra India Limited invites online applications from eligible candidates for the engagement of 3979 apprentices (59th batch of non-ITI and ITI categories of apprentices) under the Apprentice Act 1961 in Ordnance factories mentioned as below:

Non-ITI Category: 1136 Apprenticeship Positions
- For Non-ITI Category: Candidate must pass Madhyamik/ Class X or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Candidates must possess a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. And also, a minimum of 40% marks in Mathematics and Science each.

Ex-ITI/ITI Category: 2843 Apprenticeship Positions
- For ITI Category: Candidate must pass Madhyamik/Class X or equivalent examination from a recognized board and possess ITI in relevant trade, NCVT/SCVT.
Candidates must possess a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 14 years (18 years) and must not have crossed the maximum age of 35 years as on 03-03-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit and choice of Ordnance Factory submitted by the candidate. The merit list will be prepared separately for the NON-ITI and EX-ITI categories. The merit list for the NON-ITI category will be prepared factory-wise on the basis of the overall percentage of marks in matriculation. The Merit List for the Ex-lTI category will be prepared factory-wise and trade-wise, on the basis of
a simple average of the percentage of marks both in Matriculation and ITI (minimum 50% in aggregate in each).

Stipend: Rs. 8200 for NON-ITI Candidates
Rs. 9600 for EX-ITI Candidates

Application Fee: Rs. 200/- for UR/ OBC category candidates
Rs. 100/- for SC/ ST/ Women/ PWD category candidates.
