Job Description :

Western Coalfields Limited invites online applications from eligible candidates for engagement of Diploma/ Graduate/ Trade/ Fresher Apprentice trainees for a period of one year under the provisions of the Apprentice Act 1961.

Eligibility Criteria:
Graduate Apprentices: Candidates must possess a full-time Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering.

Technician Apprentices: Candidates must possess a Diploma in Mining/ Diploma in Mining and Mine Surveying engineering.

Trade Apprentices: Candidates must have passed Matriculation or equivalent under 10+2 system and they must be in possession of 1 year National/ State Trade Certificate in relevant Trade.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must have attained the minimum age of 26 years as on 01-08-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process:

Graduation and Diploma Apprentice Trades: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Merit list that will be drawn on the basis of the marks scored by the applying candidates in their qualifying examination stream of Graduation/ Diploma for which they are applying for Apprentice Training.

ITI Apprentice Trades: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Merit list that will be drawn on the basis of the average of their passing percentage in matriculation and respective NTC/ STC of respective trade.

Period of Training: 12 Months

Stipend: Rs. 12,300/- per month for Graduate Apprentices
Rs. 10,900/- per month for Technician Apprentices
Trade Apprentices: Rs. 10,560/- for COPA, Welder, Mechanic Diesel, Pump Operator, and Steno posts and other than that Rs.11,040/- per month

Application Process: Eligible candidate are required to register themselves on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) web portal (https://nats.education.gov.in/).

Further, they have to apply in the web application available at the official portal of WCL (www.westerncoal.in) on or before last date of submission.
