Samagra Shiksha, Chandigarh, invites online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Junior Basic Teacher (JBTs) (Primary Teacher, Class I-V) on a contract basis.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must possess a Graduate Degree or its equivalent from a recognised University and,
Candidates must have completed a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (by whatever name known) of not less than 02 years duration recognised by NCTE.
Candidates must have pass in Central Teacher Eligibility Test conducted in accordance with the Guidelines framed by NCTЕ.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 37 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Written test. Merit list for selection will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in the Objective Type Test.

Remuneration: Rs.45,260/-

Application Fee: Rs.500/- for SC/ ST category candidates
Rs.1000/- for all other category candidates
