PWD Tamil Nadu Apprentice Recruitment 2024-25: 660 Apprentice Vacancies

Public Works Department (PWD), Tamilnadu (STNCHS000019) invites online applications from eligible Graduate/ Diploma holders in Engineering and Non-Engineering Graduates (passed during 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024), hailing from Tamilnadu, for undergoing one-year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering: 05 Positions
Architecture: 05 Position

Non – Engineering Graduates: 100 Positions
B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com./ BBA/ BCA/ BBM: 100 Positions

Eligibility Criteria:

Graduate Apprentices: Candidates must possess a Degree in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full time) granted by a Statutory University/ Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.

Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full time) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government/ University in a relevant discipline.

Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices: Candidates must possess a Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Humanities such as B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com/ BBA/ BBM/ BCA etc., (Regular – Full time) granted by a Statutory University/ Deemed University in relevant discipline. – UGC approved

Selection Process: Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered Email id. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at PWD, Chennai.

Monthly Stipend: Rs.9000/- for Graduate and Non – Engineering Graduates Apprentice
Rs.8000/- for Technician (Diploma) Apprentice

Training Period: One Year
