Job Description :

POWERGRID, one of the largest Transmission Utilities in the World and a Maharatna Enterprise of Government of India is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over complete Inter-State Transmission System. POWERGRID operates around 1,78,975 circuit kms of transmission lines along with 280 Sub-stations (as on 30th November 2024) and wheels about 50% of total power generated in the country through its transmission network.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), invites online applications from eligible candidates for POWERGRID Common FTE Written Test- 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

Field Engineer: Candidates must possess a full time B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized University/ Institute with minimum 55% marks.

Field Supervisor: Candidates must have completed full-time Diploma in relevant discipline from a recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 55% marks.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 29 years as on 17-09-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Written Test. The Final merit will be drawn purely on the basis of performance in the Interview only.

Test Centres: Delhi NCR, Bhopal, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Guwahati and Mumbai

Remuneration: Rs.30,000 - 1,20,000/- for Field Engineer Posts
Rs.23,000 - 1,05,000/- for Field Supervisor Posts

Application Fee: Rs.400 for Field Engineer Posts, and Rs.300 for Field Supervisor Posts
Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Ex-SM are exempted from the payment of the Application Fee.
Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee online.
