Powergrid Corporation of India Ltd., a ‘Maharatna’ Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India is engaged in the power transmission business with the mandate for planning, coordination, supervision, and control over a complete Inter-State Transmission System.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Trainee Engineer (Electrical) for its various offices across the country.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess a full-time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engg.) in Electrical discipline or equivalent from
recognized University/ Institute with a minimum 60% mark or Equivalent CGPA.

The candidate should have appeared in the corresponding paper of GATE 2024.

Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 28 years as of 06-11-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2024, Behavioral Assessment, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.

Eligible candidates should have qualified and secured a valid score in the corresponding paper of GATE 2024.

Training Period: One year

Pay Scale: Basic Pay of Rs. 30,000- 1,20,000/-

Application Fee:
Rs. 500/- and Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Ex-SM/ DEx-SM are exempted from the payment of the Application Fee.
