Job Description :

The High Court of Orissa is seeking qualified Translators to translate legal documents between English and Odia. Successful candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages, as well as proficiency in computer applications.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 32 years as on 29-August-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor's Degree with English or Odia as an honours subject.
- Adequate knowledge of computer applications.
Selection Process:
- Preliminary Examination (Multiple Choice): General English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (Minimum marks required to qualify vary by category)
- Main Written Examination:
  - Language Test (English & Odia) (Qualifying only, minimum marks required to qualify vary by category)
  - Translation (English to Odia & Odia to English)
  - General Awareness/Reasoning Test (Minimum marks required to qualify)
- Computer Application Test (Qualifying only)
- Viva-voce Test (Final Merit List based on combined marks from Main Written and Viva-voce)
Pay Scale: Rs.35,400 – Rs.1,12,400/- in Level 9 of the Pay Matrix

Application Fee: Rs. 500/-

SC/ST/PwD candidates are exempted from fee payment.
