Northern Railway Scouts and Guide Quota Recruitment 2024-25 Application Form

Northern Railway invites online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment scouts and guides quota for the year 2024- 25 (levels 1 and 2 of pay matrix 7th CPC) in Northern Railway.

Educational Qualification:
For Group C: Candidate must pass 10 + 02 (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks from a recognized board

For Technical Posts: Candidate must pass Matriculation/ SSLC Plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT (OR) Matriculation/SSLC plus completed Act Apprenticeship.

Scouting Qualification: Candidate must hold a President Scouts/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger or Himalaya Wood Badge (HWB) in any section, and should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the past 5 years. Candidate must have participated in two National Level events, two All India Railway Level events, and two other relevant events.

Group'D'(Erstw hile): For Civil Engineering Mech, Elect, and S&T: Candidate must pass 10th + National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT or 10th pass + ITI.
For Other Department: Candidate must pass 10th or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Scouting Qualification: Must hold a President Scouts/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalaya Wood Badge (HWB) in any section. Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the past 5 years. Candidate must have attended two events at the National level or All India Railway level, and two events at the State level.

Age Limit:
For Level 2: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as of 01-01-2025.
For Level 1: Minimum 18 years and maximum 33 years as of 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected by written examination. Those who qualify the written test will then undergo document verification. A panel will be created based on the merit of successful candidates, considering both their performance in the written examination and the marks on their certificates.
There will be a written test of 60 marks, and 40 marks will be awarded based on the certificates.
Negative marking will be applied to all objective-type questions in the written test, with 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question deducted for every incorrect answer. Both the written examination and document verification will be conducted exclusively in Delhi.

Application Fee: Rs 500/- for General candidates, and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/EWS and Women candidates
