Indian Navy SSC Executive Entry Scheme Course Commencing Jan 2025

Applications are invited from unmarried men and women candidates for the grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Information Technology (Executive Branch) of the Indian Navy under the Special Naval Orientation Course course commencing Jan 2025 onwards at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in English in class X or XII and one of the undermentioned educational qualifications with a minimum of 60% overall qualifying marks.

(a) M.Sc./ B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Tech. (Computer Science/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Engineering / Information Technology/ Software Systems/ Cyber Security/ System Administration and Networking/ Computer Systems and Networking/ Data Analytics/ Artificial Intelligence), OR

(b) MCA with BCA/BSc (Computer Science/ Information Technology)

Age Limit: Candidates must born not earlier than 02 Jan 2000 and not later than 01 Jul 2005; both dates inclusive. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government directives.

Medical Standards/ Relaxation in Height and Weight/ Tattoo: All candidates recommended by SSB are required to undergo a medical examination applicable to 10+2 (B Tech) entry. Guidelines for medical standards are available on the Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. There is no relaxation in medical standards on any grounds. Change of medical hospital/center is not permissible under any circumstances.

Selection Process: 
Shortlisting of applications will be based on normalized marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree.

BE/B Tech: For candidates who have completed or are in the final year of BE/B Tech, marks obtained up to the fifth semester will be considered for SSB shortlisting.

Post-Graduate Degree Programme: For candidates who have completed MSc/ MCA/ M Tech, marks obtained in all semesters will be considered. For final-year students pursuing MSc/MCA/M Tech, marks obtained till the pre-final year will be considered.

Training:
Selected candidates will be inducted as Sub Lieutenant. for the six-week Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
Only unmarried candidates are eligible for training. Any candidate who is found to be married or marries while under training will be discharged from service and shall be liable to refund full pay & allowances drawn by him/her and other expenditures incurred on the candidate by the Government.

Probation Period: The probation period for SSC (IT) Officers is two years.
