Job Description :

The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) is an Autonomous Research Organization fully funded by Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi. It is a premier Institute of National and International repute, devoted to research in various aspects of Atmospheric Sciences with emphasis on tropical meteorology, particularly on the Climate Change and Indian Monsoon.

The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of various project posts purely on a short-term contract basis.

Project Scientist -III: 03 Vacancies

Project Associate-II: 02 Vacancies

Commencement of Online Applications: 21-11-2024
Last Date of Online Applications: 05-12-2024

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have fulfilled the minimum eligibility criteria as required educational and professional qualification, experiences if any, and other important guidelines as suggested in the official advertisement to be eligible for consideration for said post.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 45 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 63 years for Project Manager, Project Consultant, and Program Manager posts.
Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 45 years for Project Scientist -III posts.
Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 40 years for Project Scientist –II, and Senior Project Associate posts.
Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 35 years for Project Scientist –I, Project Associate-II, and Project Associate-I posts.
However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on the performance of the screened-in candidates, in the online/ offline interview.

Scale of Pay:
Rs.1,25,000/- for Project Manager posts
Rs.78,000/- for Project Scientist -III, Project Consultant, and Program Manager posts
Rs.67,000/- for Project Scientist –II posts
Rs.56,000/- for Project Scientist –I posts
Rs.42,000/- for Senior Project Associate posts
Rs.35,000/- for Project Associate-II posts
Rs.31,000/- for Project Associate-II posts
