Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Scientific Officer (Chemistry & Toxicology, Biology & Serology) Group-B (Job Trainee) in the Department of Home (C), H.P.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess at least 2nd Class Master's Degree in Forensic Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Bio-Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Molecular Biology/ Micro-Biology/ Physical Anthropology/ MS/M. Pharma from a recognized University.

Candidates must have three years post M.Sc./ Ms/ M.Pharma experience in research training and analytical work in one of the above subjects issued by the research supervisor of Head of the organization/Department. (Research work done for doing Ph.D. Degree shall be counted in total experience).

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 45 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Screening Test and Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test followed by the Personality Test.

Examination Stations/ Cities: Shimla

Emoluments: Rs. 28,000/- per month

Application Fee: Rs. 600/- for General/ EWS, Wards of Freedom Fighters categories/ Home Guard of HP/ Candidate of Other States
Rs. 150/- for SC/ ST/ OBC and Freedom Fighter (WFF), Wards of SC/ ST/ OBC Ex-Servicemen i.e. Dependents sons, EWS covered under UR–BPL categories of Himachal Pradesh.
Female and Ex-Servicemen male candidates of Himachal Pradesh are exempted from payment of this application fee.
