Medical Officer (General Wing): 232 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess a Post Graduate Degree or Diploma included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Candidates must have knowledge of customs, manners & dialects of Himachal Pradesh & suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 45 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Objective Type Screening Test and Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test followed by the Personality Test.

Emoluments: Rs.34,000/- Per month

Application Fee: Rs. 600/- for General/ EWS, Wards of Freedom Fighters categories/ Home Guard of HP/ Candidate of Other States
Rs. 150/- for SC/ ST/ OBC and Freedom Fighter (WFF), Wards of SC/ ST/ OBC Ex-Servicemen i.e. Dependents sons, EWS covered under UR–BPL categories of Himachal Pradesh.
Female and Ex-Servicemen male candidates of Himachal Pradesh are exempted from payment of this application fee.
