Job Description :

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Professor (Dentistry) post, Class-I (Gazetted) (on a regular basis) in Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College Chamba, District Chamba, H.P. in the Department of Medical Education and Research, (H.P.).

Professor (Dentistry): 01 Vacancy

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have a recognized Dental Qualification (BDS) included in the Schedule of Indian Dentistry Act, 1948(Act XVI of 1948).
A postgraduate degree (MDS) in Dentistry.
At least four years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor in the concerned specialty failing which an Associate Professor has seven years of teaching experience as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor combined in the concerned specialty. However, in all cases, the incumbent shall have a minimum of ten years of teaching experience after post-graduation.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 50 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Examination or Physical Test, or Document verification, or Personality Test.

Pay Scale: Pay level of 31

Application Fee: Rs. 600/- for General/ EWS, Wards of Freedom Fighters categories/ Home Guard of HP/ Candidate of Other States
Rs. 150/- for SC/ ST/ OBC and Freedom Fighter (WFF), Wards of SC/ ST/ OBC Ex-Servicemen i.e. Dependents sons, EWS covered under UR–BPL categories of Himachal Pradesh.
Female and Ex-Servicemen male candidates of Himachal Pradesh are exempted from payment of this application fee.
