Job Description :

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Assistant Professor posts in the Urology department.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have recognized medical qualifications included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, now National Medical Commission Act, 2019. Holders of Educational Qualification included in Part-II of the third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section-13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, now National Medical Commission Act, 2019.

Candidates must possess a Post-graduate and post -doctoral degrees as mentioned in Part-A of Annexure-II or its equivalent qualifications in the concerned Super-speciality.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of teaching experience as Lecturer/ Registrar/ Demonstrator/ Resident after doing post-graduation in the concerned specialty in any recognised Medical College.
Two/ Three years degree course while doing D.M./ M.Ch. shall be counted as teaching experience for the purpose of appointment as Assistant Professor (Super-specialty).

M.Ch. Urology 2/3 years course as recognized by M.C.I. after M.S. Surgery,
OR
M.B.B.S. and 5 years direct course leading to M.Ch. Urology.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 45 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of two stages of paper:

Paper-I: Computer-Based Test (CBT) or Offline Screening Test total of 100 marks

Paper-I: Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) total of 120 marks

Pay Scale: Rs.37,400 - 67,000/-
