Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) is a new Defence PSU with its headquarters at Avadi (Chennai). It has five (05) constituent production units and has around 10,000 employees. AVNL produces battle tanks i.e., T-72, T-90, MBT Arjun and Infantry Combat Vehicles, Support Vehicles (MPV, AERV etc.) and defence mobility solutions (Stallion, LPTA etc.) for the Armed Forces and Homeland Security Agencies. It is the current market leader in this segment. It is a new Government Company with bright Future. AVNL invites applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Fixed Term Based post on Contract Basis to work in Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi, Chennai54, a unit of AVNL.

Eligibility Criteria: 

Deputy General Manager Posts: The candidates must possess a First Class Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Candidates must have PMP certification preferred.
Candidates must have Knowledge of ERP products (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc) is required.
Candidates must have minimum 09 years of experience.

Manager [Infra Manager] Posts: The candidates must possess a First Class Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Candidates having CCNA/ CCNP or equivalent certification would be preferred.
Experience in configuring enterprise-grade switches, firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, etc.).
Candidates must have working knowledge of ERP network requirements and protocols.
Candidates must have minimum 04 years of experience.

Manager [System Administrator] Posts: The candidates must possess a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (B.E/B.Tech), IT, or related field.
Candidates having certifications in Microsoft/ Linux/ VMware systems would be preferred.
Candidates must have Strong knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
Candidates must have Hands-on experience with ERP-related environments (SAP, Oracle ERP etc.).
Understanding of cyber security principles and access controls.
Candidates must have minimum 04 years of experience.

Manager [Database Administrator] Posts: The candidates must possess a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (B.E/B.Tech), IT, or related field.
Candidates having certifications in Oracle DBA/SQL Server/ PostgreSQL would be preferred.
Candidates must have Strong experience with ERP database architecture.
Candidates must have Hands-on experience in database clustering, replication, and highavailability solutions.
Candidates must have minimum 04 years of experience.

Manager [Data Center & Disaster Recovery (DC & DR) Administrator] Posts: The candidates must possess a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (B.E/B.Tech), IT, or related field.
Candidates must have Experience in Managing Tier 2/3 data centers.
Candidates must have Familiarity with DCIM tools, DRaaS, and cloud recovery solutions.
Candidates must have knowledge of ERP systems DR architecture and policies.
Candidates must have a minimum 04 years of experience.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 50 years for Deputy General Manager posts and 45 years for Manager posts as on 22-11-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Scheme of Examination: The candidates will be selected on the basis of Interview.

Remuneration: Rs. 60,000/- for Manager
Rs. 80,000/- for Deputy General Manager
