Job Description :

Forensic Science Laboratory, Government of West Bengal, invites applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Scientific Officer, Scientific Assistant and Driver posts in different district Mobile Forensic Units (MFUs) purely on a contractual basis.

Eligibility Criteria:

Scientific Officer Posts: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Forensic Science from a recognized University equivalent.

Forensic Aptitude and Caliber Test (FACT) qualified

Scientific Assistant Posts: Bachelors/ Master's degree in Forensic Science from a recognized University or equivalent.

Forensic Aptitude and Caliber Test (FACT) qualified

Driver Posts: The candidate must be a resident of West Bengal and Class VIII pass from a recognized school

Must possess a valid Driving License (DL) at least 02 (two) years for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV).

At least 02 (two) years of experience driving in any Government Organization/ Quasi Government Organization/ registered Pvt. Ltd. Co. etc.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 40 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process:
Scientific Officer & Scientific Assistant Posts: Candidates will be selected based on FACT score and Interview.

Driver Posts: Candidates will be selected on the basis of the Driving Test and the Interview.

Remuneration: Rs.35,800 for Scientific Officer Posts
Rs.28,900 for Scientific Assistant Posts
Rs.16,000 for Driver Posts
