Job Description :

East Central Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell invites online applications from eligible candidates for engagement of Apprentices for Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 over East Central Railway.

Sonpur Division: 47 Positions
Samastipur division: 46 Positions
Plant Depot/ Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya: 29 Positions
Carriage Repair Workshop/ Harnaut: 110 Positions
Mechanical Workshop/Samastipur: 27 Positions

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have passed the Matric/ 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognized Board and ITI in relevant trade (i.e National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/ State Council for Vocational Training).

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 15 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 24 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Selection for Apprenticeship training will be on the basis of a merit list prepared in respect of all the candidates who apply for the notification for a particular Division/ Unit. The merit list will be prepared taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation with a minimum of 50% (aggregate marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.

Examination Fee: Rs.100/-
SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
