  Job Description :

  

  Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC) and Directorate of Planning & Coordination (DP&C) under the aegis of Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), is going to engage Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 purely for one-year apprenticeship training for the Financial Year 2025-2026.

  Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies Advertised:

  Apprentices: 30 Positions

  Library & Information Science: 20 Positions
  Computer Science: 07 Positions
  Photography/ Videography: 02 Positions
  Printing Technology: 01 Position

  Important Dates:
  Commencement of Online Applications: 29-04-2025
  Last Date of Online Application: 20-05-2025

  Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess a Graduation Degree in Library & Information Science (One year) from recognized University/ Institute.

  Three Years Diploma in Library and Information Science from recognized University/ Institute.

  Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 28 years as on 21-05-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

  Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written/ Interview.

  Stipend: Rs.8000/- per month

  Application Fee: Rs.1000 for General category candidates
  Rs.500 for NET and Rs.800 for ARS/ SMS/ STO of EWS/ OBC category candidates
  Rs.250 for NET of SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women/ Transgender candidates
  Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee online.
