The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold a Combined Examination for National Eligibility Test (NET), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) and Senior Technical Officer (STO) Examination-2025.

Agricultural Research Service (ARS): 458 Vacancies
Subject Matter Specialist (SMS): 41 Vacancies
Senior Technical Officer (STO): 83 Vacancies

Combined Computer Based Test (CBT) for NET-2025 & Preliminary Examination for ARS/ SMS/ STO: 02 - 04 Sep-2025
Combined Mains (Descriptive) Examination for ARS/ SMS/ STO: 07-09-2025

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess a Master's Degree or equivalent from any Indian University incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed University of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or he/ she must have qualification from a foreign University recognized as equivalent eligibility qualification by the Government of India (GoI).

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 32 years for ARS (35 years for SMS/ STO) as on 21-05-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination followed by the Personal Interview.

Scale of Pay: Pay Level of 10 for ARS

Application Fee: Rs.1000 for General category candidates
Rs.500 for NET and Rs.800 for ARS/ SMS/ STO of EWS/ OBC category candidates
Rs.250 for NET of SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women/ Transgender candidates
