The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications from eligible candidates for the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination, offering exciting opportunities to join the Geological Survey of India (GSI) and the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB).

Preliminary Examination Date: 09-02-2025
Main Examination Dates: 21-06-2025 and 22-06-2025
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria for each specific position, which includes the required educational qualifications, professional certifications, and relevant work experience.
Age Limit: Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years as of 01-01-2025. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1993 and not later than 01-01-2004. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.
Selection Process: The Combined Geo-Scientist Examination consists of three stages.
Preliminary Examination, which is an objective type and serves as a screening round to select candidates for the Main Examination.
Main Examination, is a descriptive type and aims to assess candidates' knowledge and skills in greater depth.
Personality Test or Interview, which evaluates candidates' suitability for the role based on their personality, communication skills, and overall demeanor.
Application Fee: Rs. 200 for the general category, and Female, SC/ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates are exempt from paying the examination fee.
