Job Description :

State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam, invites online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Jail Warder posts in Prison Department.

Jail Warder: 138 Vacancies

Important Dates:
Commencement of Online Application: 22-01-2026
Last Date of Online Application: 22-02-2026

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 40 years as on 01-01-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of 40 marks, Written Test of 50 marks, NCC 05 marks, followed by the Oral/Viva-Voce of 05 marks.

Scale of Pay: Rs.14,000 - 70,000/-
