Job Description :

Under the National Program for Control of Blindness (NPCB&VI) under the National Health Mission (NHM), all the District Hospitals (DH), Sub-Divisional Hospitals (SDH), Referral Hospitals (RH), Community Health Centers (CHC) and Primary Health Centers (PHC) of the state.

State Health Committee, Bihar invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Ophthalmic Assistant posts.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess an I.Sc (Biology or Mathematics)/ 10+2 (Biology or Mathematics) with two years Diploma in Optometry or trained for two years as Ophthalmic Assistant in any of the recognized Government Hospitals as per guidelines of NPCB.
OR
I.Sc (Biology or Mathematics)/ 10+2 (Biology or Mathematics) with 2 years Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant from Government/ Private/ Semi-Government institute recognized by the Government of Bihar.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years as on 01-10-24. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT) total of 100 marks for the Eye Assistant post.

Remuneration: Rs.15,000 per month

Application Fee: Rs. 500/- for UR/ EWS/ BC/ EBC Male candidates.
Rs. 250/- for SC/ ST/ PWD Males and all categories of Female candidates.
