  Job Description :

  Odisha Police invites applications from eligible male candidates for direct recruitment of Gurkha Sepoy in Odisha Special Armed Police 2nd Battalion, Jharsuguda, Odisha in the rank of Gurkha Sepoy.

  Date of recruitment test: 17-09-2025 will be held at OSAP 2nd Bn. Jharsuguda parade ground from 

  Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have passed Class-VII pass or equivalent examination from any recognized institution. However, the candidates who have passed H.S.C. or equivalent examination will be given preference.

  Candidate must be a bonafide Gurkha and an inhabitant of Nepal or India. The Gurkha Candidate residing in India must have a Residential certificate issued by D.M./ A.D.M./ Tahasildar and Certificate of a bonafide Indian Gurkha from a recognized Organisation. Gurkhas of Nepal must be in possession of valid Citizenship of Nepal. 

  Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 25 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

  Selection Process: Candidates will selected on the basis of a Physical Test, Viva Voce followed by the Odia Test.
