Job Description :

North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Sports Persons for filling up 49 Posts in the following disciplines in Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2024-25 over North Eastern Railway.

Sports Persons: 49 Vacancies [21 Group C Posts, and 28 Group D Posts]

Group C Positions: 21 Vacancies
Grade Pay 2400/2800 of 6th CPC: 05 Vacancies

Grade Pay 1900/2000 of 6th CPC: 16 Vacancies

Group D Positions: 28 Vacancies
Mechanical Workshop/ Gorakhpur: 03 Vacancies For Men
Izzatnagar Division: 05 Vacancies For Women
Lucknow Division: 05 Vacancies (04 For Men and 01 For Women)
Varanasi Division: 05 Vacancies (01 For Men and 04 For Women)
HQ/Gorakhpur: 10 Vacancies (06 For Men and 04 For Women)

Eligibility Criteria:-

For the post having GP-Rs. 1800: For Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Signal & Telecom department:- 10th pass plus National
Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT or 10th pass plus ITI. For other department:- Matriculation (10th pass) or ITI or its equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

For the posts having GP-Rs.1900/2000: Pass in 10+2 or its equivalent.

For the post having GP-Rs. 2400 (Technical): Pass 10+2 in Science i.e. Maths or Physics or equivalent.

For the post having GP-Rs. 2800: A university Degree or its equivalent.

Sports Criteria: The candidate must have fulfilled the minimum required sports eligibility and other important guidelines as suggested in the official advertisement to be eligible for consideration for said post.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 25 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates are selected on the basis of performance in Sports Trials and evaluation of sports and educational achievements.

Application Fee: Rs. 250 for SC/ ST/ PwBD/ ExServicemen/ Women/ Minorities and Economically Backward Classes category candidates, and Rs. 500/- for other candidates.
