Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have fulfilled the minimum eligibility criteria as required educational and professional qualification, experiences if any, and other important guidelines as suggested in the official advertisement to be eligible for consideration for said post.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 40 years for Non-Uniformed, Assistant Forest Conservator posts, and 33 years for Uniformed, Forest Range Officer posts as on 01-01-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on the Prelims Written Exam, the Mains exam, and the Interview. The preliminary exam is qualifying. Candidates selected on the basis of the preliminary will be allowed to appear in the mains examiation followed by a personal interview.

Preliminary Examination: Objective type with two papers (Qualifying in nature)

Paper I: General Studies - 100 questions of 200 marks, Duration: 2 hours
Paper II: General Aptitude Test (CSAT) - 80 questions of 200 marks, Duration: 2 hours
Negative Marking: 1/3 marks deducted for each wrong answer
Candidates who qualify the preliminary examination will be eligible for main examination

Mains Written Exam: Written examination with multiple papers on various subjects

Personal Interview

Final selection based on the combined marks of the main examination and interview.

Pay Scale: Rs.15,600 - 39,100 for Assistant Commissioner, Block Development Officer, Police Sub Inspector, Inspector Employees State Insurance
Rs.56,100 - 1,77,500 for Deputy Collector
Rs.56,200 - 1,77,500 District Employment Officer
Rs.9,300 - 34,800 Assistant Registrar, and Labour Officer

Application Fee: Rs. 500/- for Gen/ Other State candidates
Rs. 250 for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates
