Job Description :

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission invites online applications for the direct recruitment of Assistant Registrar in the Higher Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must possess a Graduate degree from a recognized University.

Hindi language proficiency at Class 10 level or equivalent

Candidates must have a valid domicile certificate of Madhya Pradesh (for reserved category candidates)

Desirable:
Candidates must have Experience in administrative work
Candidates must have working knowledge of office procedures and documentation
Candidates also have Computer proficiency.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 40 years as on 01-01-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on the Prelims Written Exam, Mains exam, and the Interview. The preliminary exam is qualifying. Candidates selected on the basis of the preliminary will be allowed to appear in the mains examination, followed by a personal interview.

Preliminary Examination: Objective type with multiple choice questions
Total 100 questions of 200 marks, Duration: 2 hours
Negative Marking: 1/3 marks deducted for each wrong answer
Candidates who qualify the preliminary examination will be eligible for main examination

Mains Written Exam: The main examination will consist of written papers on subjects relevant to the post

Interview/ Personality Test: Qualified candidates from main examination will be called for an interview

Final selection will be based on the performance in the main examination and interview.

Scale of Pay: Pay Level 10

Application Fee: Rs.250/- for SC/ ST/ PwD Candidates of Madhya Pradesh
Rs.500/- for UR/ OBC/ EWS Candidates
