Job Description :

The Indian Navy invites online applications from unmarried male candidates to join its ranks as sailors (medical assistants). Selected candidates will be responsible for providing medical care to personnel on board naval ships and at shore establishments.

- Call Up Letters for Stage II (PFT, Written Exam, Medical Exam): Late September/Early October 2024
- Merit List Announcement: End of October/Early November 2024
Age Limit: Candidates should be born between 01 November 2003 and 30 April 2007.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must pass a 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks overall and 40% marks in each subject.
- Candidates must be medically fit as per Indian Navy standards.
- Candidates must meet height and weight requirements.
Selection Process: The selection process consists of three stages:

Stage 1: Shortlisting
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the 10+2 examination.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done state-wise.
Stage 2:
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- Written Exam (objective type, covering English, Science, Biology, General Awareness/Reasoning Ability)
- Medical Examination
Stage 3: Merit List: A statewide merit list of candidates will be prepared based on performance in Stage 2, subject to qualification in PFT and medical examination.

Pay Scale
- Starting stipend of ₹14,600 per month during initial training.
- Upon successful completion of training, placement in Level 3 of the Defense Pay Matrix (₹21,700-₹69,100) with additional allowances as applicable.
Application Fee: ₹60 (optional) if applying through a Common Service Center (CSC).
