Job Description :

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Berhampur, an Institute of National Importance, established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in order to promote higher scientific learning and research as well as scientific exploration at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels of education and to create scientists and academicians of the highest quality invites online from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Non-Teaching Positions.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have fulfilled the minimum eligibility criteria as required educational and professional qualification, experiences if any, and other important guidelines as suggested in the official advertisement to be eligible for consideration for said post.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 30 years for Junior Assistant, 33 years for Junior Technical Assistant, 35 years for Junior Engineer, Junior Library Superintendent, Junior Translator, 38 years for Assistant Engineer, Private Secretary, Nurse, Physical Education Instructor, 40 years for Technical Officer, Medical Officer, 50 years for Deputy Registrar, Senior Technical Officer, 56 years for Senior Superintendent posts as on 02-03-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process:

For group A posts: Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written test and/or an interview

For group B, C posts: Candidates will be selected on the basis of the written test only

Probation Period: 01 Year

Pay Scale:
Pay Level 12 for Deputy Registrar Posts
Pay Level 11 for Senior Technical Officer Posts
Pay Level 10 for Medical Officer, Technical Officer Posts
Pay Level 07 for Physical Education Instructor, Nurse, Assistant Engineer, Senior Superintendent, Private Secretary Posts
Pay Level 06 for Junior Translator, Junior Library Superintendent, Junior Engineer Posts
Pay Level 05 for Junior Technical Assistant Posts
Pay Level 03 for Junior Assistant Posts

Application Fee: Rs.500, for Unreserved, EWS and OBC category candidates
ST/ SC/ Ex-servicemen/ PWD/ Women candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
