Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission invites Online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Agriculture Development Officer in the Department of Agriculture.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess a B.Sc.(Agr.) degree under four years Programme and M.Sc.(Agr.) degree 2nd class from a College/ University recognized by the State/ Central Government/ ICAR.

Desirable Qualification: M.Sc(Agri) Ist Class or above
Knowledge of customs, manners, dialects of HP and suitability for appointment in peculiar conditions prevailing in the Himachal Pradesh.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 45 years as on 01-01-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Scheme of Examination:
Screening Test & Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test: A computer Based Test (CBT) or Offline Screening Test of one hour duration of a total of 100 marks.

Paper-II: A descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) of three hours duration having 120 marks.

Personality Test: A written test shall be followed by a Personality Test. The Personality Test shall be of 30 marks and be held only in the Commission's office at Shimla.

Pay Scale: Level of 16 (Rs. 48700–154300)

Application Fee: Rs. 600/- for General/ EWS, Wards of Freedom Fighters categories/ Home Guard of HP/ Candidate of Other States
Rs. 150/- for SC/ ST/ OBC and Freedom Fighter (WFF), Wards of SC/ ST/ OBC Ex-Servicemen i.e. Dependents sons, EWS covered under UR–BPL categories of Himachal Pradesh.
Female and Ex-Servicemen male candidates of Himachal Pradesh are exempted from payment of this application fee.
