APPSC Assistant Professor Exam 2026: 145 Teaching Recruitment Notification

Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the Assistant Professor Examination-2026 for filling up of 145 posts of Assistant Professors in various disciplines for Govermrent Colleges under the Department of Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

Assistant Professor: 145 Vacancies in English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Education, Commerce, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Physics, Chemistry, Sociology, and Anthropology disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess a Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/ relevant /allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.
OR
The Ph.D. Degree has been obtained from a Foreign University/ Institutions with a ranking among top -500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following:
(a) Quacqarelli Symonds (QS)
(b) The Times Higher Education (THE) or
(c) The Academie Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shangai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai)

Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 30 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Viva-voce/Interview, only. The total marks of Interview shall be 100 marks.

Pay Scale: Pay Level 10

Application Fee: Rs.150 for APST candidates
Rs.200 for other candidates
