Job Description

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications from eligible candidates for the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2025.

All candidates are requested to carefully read the Rules of Civil Services Examination notified by the Government (Department of Personnel and Training) and this Notice of Examination is derived from these Rules. The Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission to all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.

Union Public Service Commission will be conducting the Combined Medical Services Examination – 2025 on 20th July, 2025 (Sunday) all over India. All candidates who have applied for the Medical Officer positions are hereby informed that the e-Admit Cards have been released and are now available for download.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate should have passed the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination.

A candidate who has appeared/ or is yet to appear at the final M.B.B.S. examination may also apply.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 32 years as on 01-08-2025. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1993. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Scheme of Examination:
The examination shall be conducted in two parts
Part I- Written examination carrying a maximum of 500 marks.
Part II- Personality test carrying 100 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the results of the written examination.

Examination Centres: Agartala, Hyderabad, Patna, Ahmedabad, Imphal, Port Blair, Aizwal, Itanagar, Prayagraj, Bareilly, Jaipur, Raipur, Bengaluru, Jammu, Ranchi, Bhopal, Jorhat, Sambalpur, Chandigarh, Kochi, Shillong, Chennai, Kohima, Shimla, Cuttack, Kolkata, Srinagar, Dehradun, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Delhi, Madurai, Tirupati, Dharwad, Mumbai, Udaipur, Dispur, Nagpur, Vishakhapatnam, Gangtok, Panaji.

Application Fee: Rs. 200
Female, SC/ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates are exempted from paying the examination fee.
The candidate recommended paying the examination fee online.
