Job Description
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications from eligible candidates for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.
Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 20 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 25 years as on 01-08-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.
Selection Process:
The Selection Procedure/ Scheme of the Examination will be as follows:
Part I: Written examination
Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence - 250 Marks
Paper II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension - 200 Marks
Part II- Physical Standards Tests/ Physical Efficiency Tests
Part III- Interview/ Personality Test of 150 Marks
The merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/ Personality Test.
Examination Centres: Agartala, Hyderabad, Panaji (Goa), Ahmedabad, Imphal, Patna, Aizawl, Itanagar, Port Blair, Almora(Uttarakhand), Jaipur, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Bengaluru, Jammu, Raipur, Bareilly, Jorhat, Ranchi, Bhopal, Kargil, Sambalpur, Chandigarh, Kochi, Shillong, Chennai, Kohima, Shimla, Cuttack, Kolkatta, Srinagar, Dehradun, Leh, Srinagar (Uttarakhand), Delhi, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Dharamshala (H.p.), Madurai, Tirupati, Dharwar, Mandi (H.p.), Udaipur, Dispur, Mumbai, Vishakhapatnam, Gangtok, Nagpur
Application Fee: Rs. 200
Female, SC/ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates are exempted from paying the examination fee.
