SSC Hindi Translator Recruitment CHTE 2024 Application Form

The Staff Selection Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment to Group B Non-Gazetted posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Senior Translator for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of the Government of India.

Educational Qualification: 

For Junior Hindi Translator/Junior Translation Officer/Junior Translator: Candidates must possess a Master's degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject,
or
Candidates must possess a Master's degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level,
or
Candidates must possess a Master's degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level,
or
Candidates must possess a Master's degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level,
or
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level,
and
Candidate must have a recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

For Senior Hindi Translator/Senior Translator: Candidates must possess a Master's degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level,
or
Candidates must possess a Master's degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level,
or
Candidates must possess a Master's degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level,
or
Candidates must possess a Master's degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level,
or
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level,
and
Candidate must have a recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or three years‟ experience of in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 30 years as of 01-08-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: 
Candidates will be selected basis of the examination, which will consist of two papers.

Paper- I (Objective Type): Computer Based Mode of total 100 marks(General Hindi, General English)
Paper- II (Descriptive): Translation and Essay of a total of 200 marks.

Pay Scale: Level – 7 (Rs.44900- 142400) for Senior Hindi Translator/ Senior Translator and Level 6 (Rs.35400- 112400) for other posts.

Application Fee: Rs.100 

Women and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of fees.
