  Job Description :

  Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement of Apprentices as per the directives of the Apprentices Act, 1961, it is proposed to provide training to apprentice candidates in the following trades at Patiala Locomotive Works, Patiala.

  Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies: 225 Apprentices Positions

  Electrician: 120 Positions
  Mechanic: 25 Positions
  Machinist: 12 Positions
  Fitter: 50 Positions
  Welder: 18 Positions

  Important Dates:
  Commencement of Online Application: 01-12-2025
  Last Date of Online Application: 22-12-2025

  Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must pass 10+2/ intermediate examination with a minimum of 50% marks, from a recognized board (8 pass for welder) and must possess ITI in a relevant trade recognised by SCVT/ NCVT.

  Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 15 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 24 (15 to 22 years for welder positions) as on 22-12-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

  Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on a percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in both matriculation and ITI exams, giving equal weightage to both.

  Renumeration: 1st year of training: Rs. 9,600 per month
  2nd year of training: Rs. 10,560 per month
  3rd year of training: Rs. 11,040 per month

  Processing Fee: Rs. 100
  SC/ST/PwBD/women candidates are exempt from payment of the application fee.
  Candidates are suggested to pay the processing fee online.
