Northern Railway invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Sports Persons to fill 38 Posts in the following disciplines in Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2024-25 in Northern Railway.

Table Tennis-Men: 02 Vacancies
Hockey Men: 05 Vacancies
Badminton-Men: 03 Vacancies
Basket Ball (Women): 01 Vacancies
Wrestling Women: 01 Vacancy
Cricket Men: 04 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have Passed the 10th or its equivalent examination. Education Qualification must be from a recognized Institution.

Sports Criteria: The candidate must have represented the Country in any of the Category C Championships/ events
OR
At least 3rd Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category)
OR
Represented a State of equivalent Unit, except in Marathon and Cross Country, with at least 8th position in senior national championship only.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 25 years as on 01-07-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates are selected on the basis of performance in Sports Trials and evaluation of sports and educational achievements.

Period of Probation: All the candidates getting appointments will undergo a probation period of two years.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200 - 20,200/-

Application Fee: Rs.500/- for other candidates.
Rs.250 for SC/ ST/ Women/ Minorities and Economically Backward Classes category candidates.
