Job Description :

Northern Railway invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Sports Persons to fill 38 Posts in the following disciplines in Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2025-26 in Northern Railway.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Pay Level 1 posts: Candidates must have Passed the 10th or its equivalent examination. Education Qualification must be from a recognized Institution.

Sports Criteria:
Candidates must have represented the country in any of the category C Championships/ events.
OR
At least 3rd position in Federation cup Championships (Senior Category)
OR
Represented a state of equivalent Unit, except in Marathon and cross Country, with at least 8th position in senior national championship only.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 25 years as on 01-01-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates are selected on the basis of performance in Sports Trials and evaluation of sports and educational achievements.

Period of Probation: All the candidates getting appointments will undergo a probation period of two years.

Pay Scale: Pay Level 1 of Rs.5,200 - 20,200/-

Application Fee: Rs.500/- for other candidates.
Rs.250 for SC/ ST/ Women/ Minorities and Economically Backward Classes category candidates.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Pay Level 4 and 5 posts: Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.

For Pay Level 3 and 2 posts: Candidates must have Passed the 12th or its equivalent examination. Education Qualification must be from a recognized Institution.

Sports Criteria:

For Pay Level 4 and 5 posts: At least 3rd position in any of the World Cup/ World Championships/ Asian Games/ Commonwealth Games/ Youth Olympics/ Davis Cup/Champions Trophy.

For Pay Level 3 and 2 posts: Represented the country in the World Cup/ World Championships/ Asian Games/ Commonwealth Games/ Youth Olympics/ Davis Cup
OR
At least 3rd position in Commonwealth Championship Junior/ Asian Championships/ Asia Cup/ South Asian Federations (SAF) Games/ USIC Championship/ world University games
OR
At least 3rd position in Senior/ Youth/ Junior National Championships
OR
At least 3rd position in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association.
OR
At under least the 3rd position in All India Inter University Championship organized aegis of Association of Indian Universities
OR
1st position in Federation Cup Championships.
