    For 2025, NERIST has released a new notification for Non-Teaching Recruitment (Advertisement No. 02/2025), offering opportunities for a wide range of candidates, including graduates, diploma holders, ITI-qualified applicants, skilled workers, and clerical staff. The recruitment covers 13 posts, starting from high-responsibility roles like Deputy Registrar to essential support roles such as Driver, with pay levels ranging from Level 2 to Level 12 under the 7th CPC.

    • Application Fee: All candidates must submit a Demand Draft along with their application. The fee details are:

    ₹200 – For SC/ST candidates

    ₹500 – For General/OBC/EWS and all other categories

    • The application runs in Offline mode, so candidates must download the form, fill it out, attach documents, and send it to the institute by post. The envelope must clearly mention: “Application for the post of ________”

    Vacancy: 1(UR)

    Level-12, Rs. 78800+ allowances

    Master's degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 55% marks, its equivalent grade in the CGPA/Grade B in the UGC 7 points scale from a recognized University/Institute.

    Experience:

    • At least 9 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of 6000/- (Level 10th of 7th CPC) or above, with 3 years experience in educational administration OR
    • Comparable experience in a research establishment and/or other Institutions of higher education OR
    • 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent post in GP of Rs. 5400/- (Level 10 of 7th CPC) and above.

    Age: Up to 50 years

    • Qualification in the area of Law/ Management/ Engineering.
    • Experience in Computer Application/ e-office systems
    • Experience in establishment/ academic/ financial administration in an academic or research organization.

    Sports Officer

    Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from a recognized University with at least 3 years of experience in conducting sports events.

    Age: Up to 30 years

    • Experience in multi-sport event coordination preferred.
    • The ability to mentor students and monitor performance is desirable.

    Nurse

    Vacancy: 1(UR)

    Level 6, Rs. 35,400+ allowances

    • Intermediate (10+2 with Science) or equivalent, and must have passed the examination held by the Nursing Council with 3 3-year courses in General Nursing and Midwifery with at least 55% marks from a recognized Board/Institute.
    • Registered as an A-grade Nurse with the Nursing Council
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a hospital.
    • B.Sc (Nursing) candidates require 1 year of relevant experience.

    Age: Up to 30 years

    • Ability to work in shifts and manage critical patients is preferred.
    • Ability to maintain ward and patient records accurately.
    • Skill in monitoring patient vitals, administering medications, and assisting doctors in procedures.
    • Exposure to emergency care, ICU, or specialized wards is desirable.

    • Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer office applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent.

    Age: Up to 30 years

    • Prior lab or technical work experience in education research or an industrial setup is required.
    • Familiarity with department-specific experimental procedures adds an advantage.
    • Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance or technical support is desirable

    Computer Programmer

    • Ability to handle confidential files and maintain office decorum.

    Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

    PwBD)

    Level 2, Rs. 19,900+ allowances

    10+2 pass or equivalent from a recognized Board with typing speed 30 w.p.m. with knowledge of computer applications.

    Age: Not exceeding 30 years

    Driver

    • Possession of a valid driving license for motor cars
    • Knowledge of motor mechanism (the candidate should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle),

    General Instructions for NERIST Non-Teaching Applicants

    1. Application Format: Only Applications submitted in the prescribed format will be considered. Incomplete forms or those received after the deadline will be rejected without further correspondence.

    2. Vacancies: The advertised vacancies are tentative. NERIST reserves the right to increase, decrease, or not fill any post.

    3. Pay & Benefits: All posts carry pay as per the 7th CPC, along with allowances. Fresh appointees will be covered under the New Pension Scheme (NPS-2004).

    4. Shortlisting: Applications will be scrutinized, and candidates will be shortlisted based on minimum eligibility criteria, academic qualifications, reputation of institutions, and work experience. The institute’s decision on shortlisting is final and binding.

    5. Multiple Applications: Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate applications and fees for each post.

    6. Selection Process: The Institute may use different shortlisting criteria depending on the post and candidate availability. Decisions regarding the written test, interview, and final selection are solely at the institute's discretion.

    7. Results & Admit Cards:

    • The list of eligible candidates will be uploaded on the NERIST website: www.nerist.ac.in.
    • Candidates must keep an eye on the website regularly for updates on test dates, call letters, and interviews.
    • Admit cards will not be sent by post or email; candidates must download them from the official website.

    8. Document Verification: Candidates must bring original certificates at the time of the interview. All degrees must be recognized by boards or universities.

    9. Incomplete Applications: Forms lacking essential information will be ineligible for further processing. The closing date for submission will determine eligibility.

    10. Category Certificates:

    • SC/ST/OBC/EWS applicants must submit a relevant caste/community certificate.
    • Applications without the certificate will be considered under the General category.

    11. Disability Certificate: A person with disability (PwD) must submit a Disability/Medical Certificate issued by a competent authority.

    12. Relaxation Rules: Age and marks relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates will be as per the Government of India rules.

    13. Postal Delays & Conduct: The institute will not entertain correspondence regarding postal delays, interview conduct, or reasons for not being called.

    14. Current Employees: Applicants employed in Government/Semi-Govt/PSUs/Autonomous organizations must produce a "No Objection Certificate (NOC)" at the time of the interview. If required, they should submit an APAR of the last five years and a Vigilance Clearance Certificate.

    15. Retention of Applications: NERIST will retain applications of non-shortlisted or non-selected candidates for six months after recruitment.

    16. Disqualification: Any attempts to influence the selection process will lead to disqualification.

    17. Address Changes: Candidates must communicate any change of address immediately.

    18. TA/DA: No travel or daily allowances will be paid for attending the written examination or interview.

    19. Demand Draft Validity: Any application fee (Demand Draft must be valid for at least three months from the date of application.

    20. Legal Jurisdiction: Any disputes arising will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the Guwahati High Court, Itanagar Permanent Bench.
