Meghalaya Public Service Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of various positions.

Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies Advertised: 79 Vacancies

Lower Division Assistant in the various Heads of Department: 60 Vacancies
Assistant Inspector of Excise under the Commissioner of Excise: 19 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria:
Lower Division Assistant Posts: The candidate must have pass HSSLC or Equivalent Examinations from any recognised Board/ University in India.

Assistant Inspector Posts: Candidates must have PUC or HSSLC or passed 12th Standard from any recognized University or School Education Board.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 and must not have crossed the maximum age of 32 years of age as of 01-01-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on a Written Examination.
For Division Assistant post: Screening Test consisting in MCQ pattern for General English of 150 marks, and General Awareness & Aptitude 150 marks.

For the Assistant Inspector of Excise post, the screening test consisted of an MCQ pattern for General English with 100 marks, General Knowledge & Aptitude with 100 marks, and Arithmetic (Class X-Level) with 100 marks.

Only those candidates who are declared to have passed the Screening Test/ Main Written Examination shall be eligible to the Personal Interview.

Pay Scale: Pay Level of 06 for Lower Division Assistant Posts
Pay Level of 05 for Assistant Inspector Posts

Application Fee: Rs.350 for Lower Division Assistant Posts, and Rs. 320 for Assistant Inspector Posts. Half rate of fees for SC/ ST candidates of Meghalaya State.
