Job Description :

Applications are invited from unmarried male and unmarried female candidates, including wards of battle casualties of Indian Army personnel, for the grant of the Short Service Commission in the Indian Army.

Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies:
NCC Men: 70 Vacancies
NCC Women: 06 Vacancies

Tenure of Engagement. Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission in the regular Army for 14 years i.e. for an initial period of 10 years extendable by a further period of 04 years.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent with an aggregate of a minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years.

Candidates studying in the final year are also eligible to apply provided they have secured a minimum 50% aggregate marks in the first two/ three years of the three/ four years degree course respectively.

Note- Candidates must hold an NCC 'C' Certificate.

Age Limit: Minimum 19 years and maximum 25 years as of 01 Jan 2025. Candidates must born not earlier than 02 Jan 2000 and not later than 01 Jan 2006; both dates inclusive. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on a two-stage selection procedure. Candidates who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage I will be returned on the same day. The duration of the SSB interview is five days.

Shortlisted candidates will be allotted a selection centre. Candidates will have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates which are available on a first come first serve basis.

Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Jalandhar (Punjab). A call-up letter for an SSB interview will be issued by the respective Selection Centre on candidates’ registered e-mail ID and SMS only.
