CSIR - National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram, is a premier Institute under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), involved in multidisciplinary R&D programmes of both basic and applied science in various disciplines for economic, environmental and societal benefits of the people of India. This Institute is engaged in seven broad areas of R&D namely (i) Agro processing & Natural Products, (ii) Biosciences & Bioengineering, (iii) Chemical Science & Technology, (iv) Materials & Minerals (v) Process Engineering & Environmental Technology (vi) Sustainable Energy Technologies and (vii) Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess an M.E./ M.Tech. Degree in the relevant discipline or Ph.D.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 35 years as on 28-12-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Interview.

Pay Scale: Pay Level of 11

SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women/ Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the submission of the application fee.
