Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, Haridwar invites online applications from eligible candidates for direct recruitment of Assistant Review Officer/ Assistant Librarian/ Translator/ Typist Examination-2025 for the Establishment of Hon'ble High Court, Uttarakhand.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Assistant Review Officer posts: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree of a University established by law in India or qualification recognized as equivalent thereto.

Candidates must have speed of minimum 9000 key depression per hour in English Typing would be essential.

For Assistant Librarian Posts: Candidates must possess a Degree in law and Diploma or Degree in Library science from a recognized University.
Or
Degree in Library Science From a recognized University with 05 (Five) Years experience as Assistant Librarian or Librarian in any University of Law/ Judicial Academy. 

For Translator Posts: Candidates must possess a Bachelor Degree from a recognized University having Hindi or English as a subject. Must have Hindi and Engish subjects in Intermediate (10+2).

Candidates must have knowledge of Computer Operation. 

For Typist Posts: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree of a University established by law in India or a qualification recognized by the State Government as equivalent thereto
And
Must possess good knowledge of English typing with minimum speed of 30 words per minute on the computer
And
Must possess thorough knowledge of Hindi and English and sufficient knowledge of operating computer.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 42 years as on 20-01-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Preliminary Examination (common for all posts) followed by the Main Examination.

Candidates will have to appear for Preliminary Examination of 200 marks. The qualified candidates on the basis of preliminary exam will have to appear in the mains examination.

EXAM SYLLABUS

Preliminary: General Science, Current Affairs (National & International), Indian History & World History, Indian Geography & World Geography, Legal Glossary, Legal History, Knowledge of Uttarakhand (Histroy, Geography, Economy & Polity Based), Constitution of India, Computer Science & its Applications.

Main Examination:

Assistant Review Officer: Paper 1 of English Language, Paper 2 of Hindi Language for a total of 400 marks, and Paper 3 of Basic Knowledge of Computer Operation-Practical Examination is a Qualifying of Nature

Typist: Paper 1 of English Language, Paper 2 of Hindi Language for a total of 400 marks, and Paper 3 of Computer Practical is a Qualifying nature

Translators: Paper 1 of Language, Paper 2 of Translation and Drafting for a total of 400 marks, and Paper 3 of Computer Operation- Practical Examination is of a Nature.

Assistant Librarian: Paper 1 of Theory (Compulsory), Paper 2 of (Theory) Optional (One of the three) for a total of 400 marks, and Paper 3 of Computer Operation – Practical Examination is a Qualifying of Nature.

Pay Scale: Pay Level 8 for Assistant Librarian posts
Pay Level 7 for Assistant Review Officer posts
Pay Level 5 for Translator, and Typist Posts

Rs.76.36 for SC/ ST Uttrakhand candidates
Rs.166.36 for other candidates.
