Job Description :

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the Special Competitive Examination to the post of Typist in the Employment and Training Department in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, only from the Temporary Typists, who were temporarily appointed in the Employment and Training Department under the Unemployment Assistance Scheme. This Special Competitive Examination is notified based on the orders of the Hon‟ble High Court of Madras.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must possess a Minimum General Educational Qualification.
Candidates must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting;
by Higher/ Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)
by Higher/ Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or)
by Higher/ Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil
A pass in Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation conducted by the Technical Education Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 32 years as on 01-07-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

Scheme of Examination: Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written exam of 300 marks (Tamil Eligibility cum-Scoring Test of 150 marks, General Studies of 75 marks, and Aptitude and Mental Ability Test of 25 marks).

Level of Pay: Level 8 (CPS)
