    Staff Selection Commission will hold Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2024 for filling up of various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in different Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunal.

    Eligibility Criteria:
    Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized university or institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level Or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

    Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s degree in any subject with statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized university or institute. The candidates must have studied statistics as a subject in all the three years or all the 6 semesters of the graduation course.

    For All other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. The candidates who have appeared in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however, they must possess essential qualifications on or before the cut-off date, which is 01-08-2024.

    Remuneration: Pay Level-7 (₹ 44900 to 142400), Pay Level-6 (₹ 35400 to 112400), Pay Level-5 (₹ 29200 to 92300), Pay Level-4 (₹ 25500 to 81100)

    Age Limit As on 01-08-2025: 

    Group C Posts: Mininum 18 years and Maximum 27 years (30 years for Inspector of Income Tax, CBDT), Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1997 and not later than 01-08-2006.

    Group B Posts: Mininum 18 years (20 years for Sub Inspector, and Assistant Section Officer) and Maximum 30 years (32 years for Junior Statistical Officer), Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1994 and not later than 01-08- 2004.

    Application Fee: ₹ 100/
    SC, ST, PwBD, Exservicemen, and Women candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
    Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee online.

    Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of computer based examination conducted in two tiers.

    Scheme of Tier-I Exam:

    General Intelligence and Reasoning is 50 marks, General Awareness is 50 marks, Quantitative Aptitude is 50 marks, English Comprehension is 50 marks and there will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.

    Scheme of Tier-II Exam:

    Paper-1 contains Session-I of 2 hours and 15 minutes duration, and Session-II of 15 minutes duration. Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts.

    2. Analyze Previous Year Papers

    • Understanding the patterns of previous years' papers is important. It will help understand the commonly occurring topics such as Coding-Decoding, Data Interpretation and Static General Knowledge.
    • Topper Tip: Solve at least 8 to 10 previous year papers to get familiar with the types of questions, topic-wise distribution and difficulty level.
