The National Centre for Polar & Ocean Research (NCPOR), an Autonomous Society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, New Delhi is the nodal agency responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the Indian Polar Programme. In addition, the Centre has a well-focused scientific mandate of basic and applied research in various disciplines and themes of polar and ocean sciences.

National Centre for Polar & Ocean Research (NCPOR), invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Scientist positions.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in any relevant branch of Science or its equivalent or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology related to the relevant subject from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 50 years for Scientist D, 40 years for Scientist C, and 35 years for Scientist B posts as on 11-04-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on interviews.

Pay Scale: Pay Level-12 for Scientist D
Pay Level-11 for Scientist C
Pay Level-10 for Scientist B
