  Job Description :

  

  Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates for training in Metro Railway/ Kolkata as Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time.

  Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies:

  Apprentices: 128 Positions

  Fitter: 82 Positions
  Electrician: 28 Positions
  Machinist: 09 Positions
  Welder: 09 Positions

  Important Dates:
  Commencement of Online Application: 23-11-2024
  Last Date of Online Application: 22-01-2025

  Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks, in the aggregate, from a recognized Board and should also possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/ SCVT.

  Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 15 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 24 years as on 22-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

  Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of a merit list. A merit list will be drawn for eligible candidates taking the average of percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both matriculation [with a minimum of 50% (aggregate) marks) and ITI examination.

  Application Fee: Rs. 100
  Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwBD/ and Women candidates are exempted from the fee.
  Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee online.
